FIGHTING TEEN VANDALISM IN A POSITIVE AND PLAYFUL WAY
Teenage vandalism is a noticeable problem in the Netherlands. This has a few causes like: Boredom, not being disciplined and teenagers trying to one up each other. This has as consequence that places where they meet are being vandalized. Broken bus stops, trash cans and streetlights.
But rather than condemning something that is purely part of teenagers growing up, “Kom matte dan” focusses on pointing them in the right direction by hacking their regular hang out spots with boxing bags challenging them to join a gym nearby in a fun and playful way.
With the copy, “You don’t learn kickboxing from a trash can, but from us you do”. We try to get these kids off the streets and in a gym where they will get disciplined, regain focus and most importantly have a place to go all out. It is proven that fighting is a great way to improve your mindset.
